Fortnite

Fortnite is a globally popular online multiplayer video game developed by Epic Games, first released in 2017. It’s best known for its Battle Royale mode, where up to 100 players drop onto a shrinking map and compete to be the last one standing. Players gather resources, build structures for defense or height advantage, and use a wide range of weapons and tools to outlast opponents.

But Fortnite is more than just combat. It’s a creative sandbox, allowing players to design their own maps and mini-games, and a social platform hosting massive in-game events—like concerts with Travis Scott or collaborations with brands from Marvel to Naruto. Visually, it stands out with its vibrant, cartoon-like art style and fast-paced movement mechanics like gliding, sprinting, or building on the fly.

Under the hood, it runs on Unreal Engine (also developed by Epic), which delivers stunning visuals and fluid animations even on modest hardware. Fortnite’s success comes not just from gameplay, but also from its continuous updates and seasonal content that keep players returning for new challenges, skins, and storylines.
